Shave to Save 2014

My wife raised over $2,500 and helped raise over $13,000 for the American Cancer Society through their Shave to Save event. It provides free wigs to those fighting cancer. I'm very proud of her.

My beautiful, amazing and selfless wife shaved her head last night for a charity event called Shave to Save, it's put on by The American Cancer Society. She and a coworker raised over $5,600 for the local chapter, which accounted for over a third of the $13,000 they raised. The money goes toward providing free wigs for those brave souls actually battling cancer. I'm very proud of Abby for her thoughtfulness. When asked repeatedly through her fundraising why she was doing it or when people would say something stupid like "I'll give you money not to shave your head", she gave them a lesson in humility and the feelings of others.
