A Slice of Americana

Over the July 4th weekend, we did a myriad of things. One of the most fun things we did, was to drive 20 minutes north to Brighton, MO to pick peaches as at a little orchard up that way. We originally planned to pick blueberries a little closer to springfield, but the picking hours for that orchard and farm were over pretty early in the morning and we missed it due to breakfast.

My daughter and I baked a peach pie from scratch and I also sketched one of the peaches for grins.
