Valley Water Mill Park

Sunday, before heading to some friends' house for a late afternoon BBQ, we took a little walk around Valley Water Mill Park . It's a park with walking trails and fishing piers on one of Springfield's oldest reservoirs.

Springfield has an abundance of interesting parks. Valley Water Mill, Sequiota, Nathaniel Greene, The Japanese Stroll Garden, Rutledge-Wilson Farm, Ritter Spring, the Ozark Greenway Trails, Springfield Conservation Nature Center, etc. The list goes on and on. There's really no shortage of cool places to take a kid to learn about nature. It just takes getting off your couch and turning off the TV.
